THE BRIEF The UC Davis Department of Family and Community Medicine (Department) is nationally respected for its medical research, and its commitment to serving the community. With all its amazing qualifications and accomplishments, the Department sought a brand strategy to better tell its story and raise its profile as an integral part of community health in the Davis and Sacramento areas.
MY ROLE Brand Strategy I was tasked with developing the Department’s brand strategy, which included working with a small team to conduct a comprehensive brand audit, in-depth stakeholder interviews and thorough assessment of the competitive landscape. I analyzed the findings from our research to create a brand story that highlighted the uniquely personalized educational experiences offered by the Department, as well as its position as an industry leader in research for primary care and dedication to comprehensive patient-centered care. This effort included incorporating strategies from the Department’s strategic plan, developing targeted messaging for key audiences, and identifying new tactics to increase public awareness.
